My dog is getting old /sci/

and I'm not a religious person at all, so I have no comfort in the imaginary world of heaven.

But I know that the light of the sun reflected off of us when we played together

and those light waves, whatever made it through and out of our blue marble, are traveling somewhere in the universe

and even if he'll be gone someday, I'll know that image, and that memory, is somewhere out there.

and it makes me feel good

because until my time comes, I'll always remember the fun times we had together, and how much I loved him.

Peace of mind through science, it's the best I can do.

Made me sad too, I also have an old dog. Why does that heart-string sit so close to the surface? Any time I think about a dog dying I get a lump in my throat, unless it's a bad dog that I would kill myself.

Those rays were most likely blocked by the clouds or distorted to which it would be impossible to "translate" it to your time spent. Not to mention they would be mixed in with so many other light rays as well. It would just be light.
