Vacuum isn't good for us, he would die in seconds.
Even if he had some life support like in a pod it wouldn't be really any different than being in space in the solar system, except being able to see the sun from a porthole.
(Maybe a little more disturbing the fact he can't go back and will die when resources are depleted.)
In short the sun makes the difference, we humans have a special relation with sunlight.
Also, human connections with friends and family.
Give a human all of that and he can live happily anywhere in the universe.
