though I have never taken it myself, I've heard that advanced organic chemistry is a memorization nightmare.
String theory is also supposedly filled with the most advanced higher-dimensional geometry physics out there, a true nightmare. When it became popular in the 90s, even the best of physics researchers in the field had trouble keeping up. I remember reading articles about college professors using large drawing artist-type notepads to write out those stupid-long and complex equations, and spending much overtime just to study the mathematics involved.
