Genetics Question

Do phenotypes predict or indicate a mental or physical disorder?
Like Down's Syndrome but for Alzheimer's or Schizophrenia etc.

I saw this documentary called "Children of Darkness" and the first kid reminds me of somebody who has been in the news a few years back;

Schizophrenics literally have a broken brain.
Kind of like how people are near sighted, because their eyes are not functioning properly except for schizophrenics the cause is that a part of their brain is missing or mixing up the signals the eye gives to the brain, messing up the image.

sorry for the joke but yeah its not localized, but places more affected make a person more volatile or hallucinate etc.

Yes, but apparently it doesnt have to be genetic.
Anything that destroys parts of your brain can cause schizophrenia.

also is this due to high density for neurons and stuff and when something goes wrong signals start leaking in neural networks they shouldn't go to? live various networks "shorting out" or something?

The less severe ones are much worse, because they learn to do things that somewhat fit the context, so people close to them suffer, but it's generally impossible to explain the situation to anybody else, as with casual interaction they seem normal, unless they know the situation better, and that the things they say are false.
