What causes Homo or transsexuality? Do they have some evolutionary benefit for the individual or society/the human race?

I am not taking the worm theory, social contagion or the childhood rape theory into account because they are retarded.

The argument that homosexuality is a by-product of some other genetic mutation that makes people more successful at mating makes no sense either because homosexuality itself would still be selected against within that framework. Subsequently, that mutation would come to be less and less associated with homosexuality itself while still being under pressure for its positive attributes to be selected for. Either way, it can't really be an inborn feature. It makes no sense.

No, I believe that social contagion is an important reason, especially with transgenderism. It often starts out as a fetish and only later on becomes an identity feature due to the "fetishist" actively seeking out spaces that will affirm his or her fetishism. I personally doubt that most transgender people actually feel like the opposite sex.

For homosexuality, I assume it's more so related to epigenetics and other developmental processes. I believe that certain types of hormonal imbalances, however not testosterone, starting during pregnancy (possibly an overexposure to estrogen in male fetuses) and propagating itself during childhood and puberty causes suppression of behavioral patterns and preferences that would be otherwise activated if the glands worked properly or can't be activated even if the puberty process itself works normally. It's probably also related to an environmental impact that causes infertility and low sperm counts in males. Both conditions are more so closely related to asexuality, but an homosexual can easily mistake his lack of interest for women for an erroneous attraction to males.

It's possible and judging from what I've seen likely that most homosexual men originally start out as bisexual and have an interest in women, but eventually stop chasing them because they're not particularly good at it. Most would become celibate or continue having mostly unsatisfying relationships with the few women that they manage to bond with, but homosexuals might switch for same-sex partnerships.
