Why did mass shootings replace the serial killer? It is the decline of IQ, and the decrease of attention spans? Can only white people be serial killers?

being a serial killer in the first world is very difficult to pull off now with DNA evidence and mass surveillance. one mistake and you're caught.

60% of murders go unsolved, just by not killing someone you know and staying around that puts you above the 99%. If you go around shooting stranger with a homemade gun, or trapping places, how would they get caught? I think they all know this and are acting like this.

in the past it's normal for you to be not in contact with anyone for like a month. it's easier to dispose the evidence properly in that time span.
now phones are everywhere if nobody see a woman online for 3 days they'll call the cop.
also camera is everywhere at every intersections and corner, not easy to pull off killing anyone without a single person noticing anymore.
