Some leftard faggot made a political spectrum thread on /a/ where he managed to lie to everyone with a liberal agenda before finally getting deleted. I'm just here to make sure that you idiots understand the correct political breakdown as laid out by the great majority of reputable post-revisionist social studies researchers.

Conservative: Order > Freedom > Equality
Liberal: Equality > Freedom > Order
Libertarian: Freedom >> Order = Equality
Communist: Equality >> Order = Freedom
Reactionary: Order >> Freedom = Equality

"Tradition" doesn't play into this, except as a some people's perception of order. Also, it's important to note that both conservatives and liberals value freedom equally and will gladly take away your rights if it serves their agenda.

>> No.1608449

well then invent a group that thinks that way and get some followers

but really, it's all just generalizations anyway. lots of liberals put freedom first, as do some conservatives. and not all libertarians devalue equality and order so much.

Conservative = resistance to change.
I don't know how you got "freedom > order" for liberal but ok.
Libertarian is about right.
Communist is an economic position and shouldn't be defined along with political positions; it's confusing. Communism has nothing to say about equality, order, or freedom, except in areas where those explicitly overlap with economy.
Reactionary you probably know better than me.

Pic is my compass.

To some degree social and economic change, but not change in general. Technological progress is not a political issue, at least not in modern political theory.

That's because a two dimensional map doesn't work when there are THREE axis that need to be referenced:

ORDER
FREEDOM
EQUALITY

It's also important to note that "order" is not synonymous with authoritarianism any more than "equality" is; rather, authoritarianism overlaps both ideas.

The political compass seems to take only the surface value of those answers entered into its autonomous evaluation. Fair and just, considering the mass majority do the same. Without expressed morals, theory and principles the test means nothing. I am pro environment, vegetarian, pro equality and anti-establishment would you believe... You know, each political compass thread is filled with people in the green zone. It's because the great majority of 4chan is filled with lurkers and normal people who don't post often and don't shout as loud as stormfags.

>I don't think that your three are particularly good
First of all, those are not "my three". They come from a textbook written by experts.

Secondly, those three are the most important because they sum up political theory quite accurately in the last 100 years. I know you hate giving "equality" it's own standing, but it just isn't accurate to try to dissolve it into order or freedom or even mere "human rights." And it goes way beyond communist theory. Look at the age old struggle in America since it's birth:

>should banks have the freedom to deny loans to those they want, or should people be treated equally regardless of their economic standing?

That was an issue back in Jackson's time, and it's still an issue to this very day.

freedom - ability to do what you want
order - everyone rigidly follows rules, such that no one is pillaging, murdering, or breaking society's morals (public nudity etc)
equality - people are provided for/taken from until all people equal in rights, opportunities, and economics (ie heavily tax rich; free money to the poor)

Obviously, few people believe in 100% freedom, 100% order, or 100% equality. At their extreme, all of those things are terrible. Total freedom would make for an anarchist state where strength ruled; complete order would make for a fascist state; and complete equality would mean that opportunity and ingenuity were punished

>> No.1609278

>>1609255
Also, it's important to note that order is NOT the opposite of freedom.

You can have a fascist state where no one has any freedom that also has no order. In fact, that is almost always the case: the ruling class preys on the people, and crimes of those with power go unpunished.
