Other worlds/universes

I cannot enjoy or care much for this world anymore, us humans are just disappointing as a species. I wish I could go to some other planet or even universe where I could find civilizations that are far more interesting. I want to explore worlds that are completely alien to me; I want to see other possible forms that life might take beyond what can be seen on Earth; I want to speak to someone that sees beyond our limited human ideals; I want to come to know of technology different to and hopefully more advanced than ours. If they'd have the technology to do so, I'd love to have my mind transferred into an alien body so I could live my life in a world superior to ours. To put it simply: I just want to experience more than the mundane life we humans maintain for us all to be born into.

Please tell me there's at least some evidence of the slight possibility that we might one day be able to travel close to the speed of light or create wormholes or something to explore this universe or others. I just want at least a single sign that there is hope that I may one day achieve my goal.
