sup /sci/. I'm a failed physics major going into my second year of undergrad. Currently I'm signed up for the following classes:

-calc 3
-statistics
-foundations of mathematics
-modern physics
-vibrations and waves

gonna drop pretty much all of them along with my major and just take easy classes next semester until I figure out a new major. which ones should I keep just for fun though?

>> No.1599016

Keep your foundations of mathematics course.

>> No.1599015

All of them, faggot, Any physicist loves all that shit.

>> No.1599029

OP's new major: women's studies

>> No.1599033

>>1599016
any particular reason?

I was gonna keep stats and calc 3 because they're probably the easiest and could also turn out to be useful in other areas.

>> No.1599044

dude I'm taking calculus three and some physics and engineering classes this semester
ive got a 2.5 gpa so its kind of pointless at this point, but i still go just for the sake of learning.

>> No.1599048

Calc 3 and Stats are easy (yay markov) and useful for 300K STARTING. all other advanced courses are for real scientists, you don't need them.

Stopped reading. PLEASE KILL YOURSELF NOW!

see, this is what i don't want to become

>> No.1599062

unless you going to do something unrelated to math or science, you should keep calc 3, and probably statistics.

I really don't feel too bad about it. by "failed" I mean I made Bs in the intro classes, but I've pretty much just lost interest anyway. also there's not much to do career-wise with physics.

WOW you are a major faggot! Yeah, take your ass outta physics ASAP and go major in bussiness, if all you are concered about is fucking money and material possessions

u mad?

sorry I don't want to take classes I can't handle, end up with a 2.5 GPA, and work shit tier jobs for the rest of my life.

by dropping physics I'll be getting a better GPA, which will lead to better jobs and more money in the future, and at the same time giving myself more free time outside of class.

If you want jobs and money, why the fuck did you study physics? Just go into engineering.

I like science and math. but then I grew up and realized you actually need to care about your future and your career.

honestly I'm probably gonna switch to pre-med, so I'll still get plenty of science classes to take.

Then study engineering. It's science and math with excellent job opportunities.

you don't necessarily need a full college education to make a decent living,
I knew a guy who took like 2 drafting courses at a community college and then worked his way in and air conditioning company to become an industrial engineer.

Hey OP, do accounting.

-Easy as fuck (especially if you're mathematically inclined)

-Decent pay.

I switched from electrical engineering to accounting with a minor in math--best choice I've made in college.

Hey OP, switch major to accounting and keep stats and calc.

Why?

-Easy as fuck (especially if you're mathematically inclined)

-You'll stand out if you join honor societies (I joined Beta Alpha Psi, and *most* of the other kids are retarded)

-Decent pay

I switched from electrical engineering to accounting with a minor in math--best choice I've made in college.

>> No.1599297

hey OP, I switched to economics as my major after I realized I could get a degree without having to go to class or study for more than 2 hours for each exam. I had a lot of fun in college but regret it now. :(

>> No.1599312

>>1599297

Troll harder.

Anyways, econ's one of the top ten or twenty four-year degrees ranked by pay.

Hey OP, I suspect you're not failing because the classes are too difficult. If that is the problem, it is certainly solvable. This is especially true if you love the subject.

TAs, tutors, and alternate textbooks and perspectives can make a huge difference.

If this isn't the problem, unplug your Xbox and your internet.

>> No.1599364

Hey OP,

Seriously, drop the physics and sci shit and go into accounting. It's one of the fastest-growing jobs, college will be a breeze, and you'll make more money than 90% of all physics majors.
