>look at the stars through a telescope
>they look like blobs of translucent colors
>some nights they don't even look the same

what is the """scientific""" explanation for this? have any of you faggots actually looked at the stars through a telescope? why do they look so bizarre? why do they seem to change their appearance every now and then?

The only cool thing to look at with a cheap telescope is Jupiter or Saturn.

Your telescope is not in focus. Stars always stay dots. If they are not dots, the problem is in your telescope, either there is something out of focus, or you have reached the diffraction limit (that is you need a bigger telescope to see more).

What >>15977156 said.
Also, if you're trying to point your telescope at the star and it's not close to directly above you, it'll look weird, because of the movement of air in the atmosphere interfering with the light. That's why stars "twinkle".

They are luminaries, some type of plasma phenomena but the there is some type of water shell between us and them.
