I'm not sure how true this is, but I heard once on this website that some plants will turn their leaves to face the same direction as neighboring plants. Even of those neighboring plants are made of plastic. This implies plants have some form of vision, which makes sense to me since every millimeter of their surface area is covered in photo-receptors, and their body is configured in a way to maximize surface area.

Dunno, but a paper was published where they used classic Pavlovian training on plants to see if they could learn, and they did. The plants were able to associate a small breeze (bell) with with a light source (food) and eventually learned to turn their leaves in the direction of the breeze anticipating light coming from that direction.
If they're capable of learning, that implies memory as well, and some very basic form cognition.

I think the more logical explaination is that plants that look like hummingbirds are more likely to attract humminbirds(pollinator) and that those specific genetic traits have a higher advantage in propogation over the ones that dont look like hummingbirds.
