What's the evolutionary advantages of the anus being centimeters away from the vagina? How don't they get get poop on their vagina when taking a nasty shit?
>Inb4 just wipe front to back
Backsplash when you have diarrhea is a thing.
Why did they evolve like this? It's absolutely repulsive to me.

Then you never have to worry about it so why make this thread? The standard answer to these sort of questions is that evolution is not defined by whatever you think is ideal but by whatever is good enough to reproduce and by what changes are possible.

This a very good question which I have also wondered since I was a little boy. It really is strange how that design would not have been eliminated through UTI infections and subsequent death. So strange.
However, the design isn't unique to humans, all other apes have such a layout, and pretty much all land mammals have their anuses extremely close to their vulvas. Quadrupeds even have their anus directly above the vagina, so as they excrete fecal matter, it directly ejects said fecal matter just above the vaginal opening.
I guess it's like this anon said,

It's good enough, and it keeps the immune system under constant workout, fuck it.

They're both waste-disposal holes and should therefore point downwards. The downwards area of the pelvis is small, so they're close. Duh.

LMAO, other animals only have one hole to shit, pee, fuck, and lay eggs.

Guess the chances of mutating either your shitter or cunt to somewhere like your belly is pretty low. In the case of humans you’ve got that pelvic bone thing in the way, can’t just gradually evolve the tubes apart, constrained by bone.

The vagina and anus are both descended from the cloaca, a single hole for sex and waste disposal. As a bonus, this is why anal sex feels good. The anus literally was evolved for having sex.

Well, for one women don't have balls you fag. They have a pussy. It would make no sense for it to be far away since there would be less space for the vagina.

The vagina typically isn't exposed, you know, with the labia.
What the hell is being taught in biology these days?

Because evolution isn't about design its albout space and utility. Having two sexes sharing the same genome and general morphological form means making concessions especially on the body real estate side.

It's the same reason the female skeleton isn't exactly optimal for birthing. At a certain point the morphology can't stray to far between the sexes at the general level.
