Literally and unironically all scientific models are wrong. They just reduce reality to a few key aspects what still allow them to be used to make profitable predictions.
Of course science is good and useful but it's not the ultimate or complete truth.

Science is like creating a universe and for the soul purpose of extracting data. It can also be to extract certain data or random data from a natural universe. Heck, the whole universe can be mined for data. Science isn't about knowledge, it's about data. Knowledge is a skill. You don't do science for skill.

"Science" would refer to an idealized application of the scientific method and related disciplines like falsification, not lying about research, having control groups, enough of a sample size, etc etc. "Real science" could even be said to not actually exist, as it is an ideal not something that happens in practice. You approach it, but can never reach it. Compare how we want journalists to behave (impartial conveyors of truth) to how they actually behave (like people who are paid to say whatever their editor lets them). "Science as an ideal" is good. It is a goal to reach for and a standard to hold ourselves to.

"The Science" is simply just dogma. Comparable only to various religious dogmas.
