Greenland was practically ice free 1000 years ago when the vikings settled it, since then it has gain a miles thick ice sheet. Greenland is clearly in the process of amassing more ice rather than losing it. Interglacial periods don't last long and the one we're experiencing currently is rapidly coming to a close.
