The vaccine did both reduce transmission risk and weaken the strength of transmission among those with a fast enough reacting immune system. I believe there is both some genetics at play and otherwise whether you're old and/or unhealthy (obese primarily). I am not sure if the same remains true for omicron and later variants.

If you're not up to date on your boosters then you're ever bit as unvaccinated as an anti-vaxxer.
Theres no such thing as being partially vaccinated, you either are or you ain't.
