Zoomies are too young to have lived long enough to see the weather change.

I do believe in climate change. However, I do not believe that it can be influenced by banning cars, living in the pod and eating bugs.

It's not that I don't believe in it, just that the current model of anthropogenic climate change and the recorded data don't really match.
Why does it seem like climate change started to suddenly increase massively in the late 2010s, based on recorded temperature data? Surely, you'd expect it to be vaguely linear. There has to be something else that is going on.

it is happening but the dangers are way overblown by rich assholes with beachside properties who spend their time polluting on yachts and plane rides for me to care enough to give up my meager shitposting lifestyle. and b4 some midwit r*dditor npc trips over themselves to defend the rich and their schemes. no, carbon credits are new age indulgences that just feed into slushfunds that these assholes tricked you into supporting.

Climate change is real but I don't think humans affect it significantly not I think that we can "fight" or "stop" climate change, it's similar to saying we need to make sun rise from west, or stop air from blowing.

>>15793111
Not many know this but, even if all humans vanished tomorrow climate would still change.

They started using different data gathering methods like using thermometers closer to hot streets and even on airport tarmacs instead of having them elevated etc. They have used numerous tricks I have seen over the years

and to answer your question, everything changes, that is an integral part of reality. if there was no change it just a frozen, lifeless nothingness.

What are you talking about, the climate changes all the time

>> No.15793158

>>15792562
I do. Life changes the climate all the time, it'd be weird if an absurd number of apes powering their hives with massive amounts of fire DIDN'T do weird things to the environment.

The issue is that nobody raving about this actually cares about any of that, or they'd be focused on fixing it. They're not. They're screaming about the end of the world and how much they hate everyone who doesn't agree and how everyone needs to be punished for their sins. It's the same hateful environmentalist rhetoric that's been around for decades at least, and it's never about making things better or giving a shit about the whales, rainforests, or polar bears. It's about punishing their society for failing them.

As a corollary to this, indulging these lunatics is one of the most destructive things you could do for the environment, climatically or otherwise.

I'm a materialist and all human action is informed by their interests. And as we all know, the existence of massive hippie green movement with trillions of lobbying money means that there will always be massive conflict of interest within climate sciences where it is massively more profitable to lie about climate change being real. Contrast that to basically mom&pop businesses within fossil fuel industry with relatively little money compared to green movement, there's just no motive to give any other opinion about climate and thus climate hoax has been pushed onto mankind.
