Merlin is a lot simpler of a design, it’s been flying for a good fifteen or more years, and it only gets clustered in groups of nine.

starship working perfectly OFT-2 is actually the worst for us. that means the greatest delay between the launch after it. If it works perfectly, they have flight data for every stage of flight, which means they now know more things to change and tweak. if it explodes t+1 minute, they have less info and less things to change so faster turnaround.
