Presumably because most people had their shots years ago, and the chance of something putting up years after the event is fairly low. Also most people aren't even getting more vaccines for covid anyway, we've all had it a dozen times and the immunity from the vaccine was continually revised down to about a month, meaning its really not worth getting another shot.

It becomes harder and harder to establish correlations between two events the longer the time period between them. If I take a pill and die 5 minutes after form a heart attack you can have reasonable confidence that the pill ay have had something to do with it. If I take a pill and die 10 years later from a heart attack the number of variables at play make establishing a connection between the pill and the heart attack basically impossible. If its been like a year or two since you last had a covid vaccine you can't really establish a meaningful correlation between the shot and a potential side effect. If I get a stomach ache and fever tomorrow and I had a vaccine 2 years ago can I count that as an adverse reaction to the shot? Not likely, to much time has passed.

Its the problem of the people who are storing the data and trying to draw conclusions. If the people cant properly draw conclusions because too much time has passed there is no point storing the data, and so there is no point collecting it. If there is no point collecting it because you can't do anything with it there is no point accepting reports.

For vaccines long term side affect studies are pretty unprecedented. Vaccines tend to have effect within a fairly short time period as whatever the vaccine does do the body gets done. If something is floating around in your body ready to cause a side effect its generally going to do it shortly after it starts floating around, not spend a year doing nothing and then all of a sudden start giving people heart attacks.

Its way too difficult to find adverse effects to vaccines long after you've had them, there are too many confounding variables, you are basically just guessing.

Which fucking vaccines exactly? Usually longitudinal studies are done for shit like major infectious diseases and radiation, not for vaccines. Side effects for vaccines usually present themselves pretty quickly after you've had the vaccine, not years after.
