do they really expect us to believe this?

>science tells us hot air rises
That only goes as far as it is less dense than the air around it. Now guess what happens to air density as you get further and further from the fucking surface of the planet.

If convention is real, how do people even believe in "the greenhouse effect"
greenhouses function by having a solid physical barrier which prevents convection.
CO2 is a free floating gas, its subject to convection, if CO2 gets warm it will just rise into thinner atmosphere until the mean free path is reduced to the point that the CO2 can cool down

air should be equally dense since air is light and gravity wont affect it as much

>>15682902
Yeah because as we all know greenhouses work by heating up the glass.

So you believe time makes your soup gets hotter and your ice cream colder?
Fuck off glowie.

PV = nRT
Say you have 30 airs(n), in 6 volume units(V). And (R) is a constant so we'll set it to 1 for simplicity. Pressure units (P) is 55 at 5000 height units (picrel).
(55)(6)=(30)(1)T
T = 330 = 11
11 temperature units!

Say the hot air rises to 7500 heights units, (P) is now 35. The volume hasn't changed, and you haven't lost any airs.
(35)(6)=(30)(1)T
T = 210 = 7
7 temperature units! Jews stole my temperature!!!!11!1!!11

why is it this weird shape instead of a clean slope?

The volume does change, dumbass. Also the temperature really does decrease as you go up in altitude. The earth is not in thermal equilibrium.

That local heat maximum is the ozone layer where UV is converted into heat. Higher than that it’s almost normal again, only the air is too thin to absorb significant amounts of UV. Then at >100km, temperature goes crazy because the atmosphere becomes less atmosphere and more particle physics.

>A parcel of air over parking lot is heated via conduction
>This parcel of hot air is now less dense, & rises (like a helium balloon in your house)
>Hot air rises & as the surrounding air pressure decreases, the parcel expands
>Since T ∝ P (generalized for example,) temperature drops along with the pressure as this parcel expands to fill a larger area
>Temp & pressure of parcel matches surrounding atmospheric pressure, stops rising
I agree, scientists are lying to us
