Physicsbro, there's no reason why you can't go into Engineering and while you do that for a career initially, continue to go to school and study the cool theoretical shit so when you're older you can get a part-time job teaching kids about quantum mechanics.

Or, if you don't care about making a lot of money and can make do on a teacher's salary - just do what you want and study theoretical physics instead of engineering.

I'm not gonna say money isn't important...but I have live in the shittier portion income wise when it comes to my family. I want to make a good living. I don't want a repeat of my previous life. That being said...Engineering seems like the best option for someone who is scientifically inclined and doesn't want to spend a decade in school.
