Science reporting is a disaster. A million headlines based on the results of one experiment before it’s been through the full scientific process. They never circle back to clarify things when it’s failed peer review or proven to be impossible to replicate.

The Nature article is better at least, and of course arrives at a completely different conclusion.

Inventing more forces only makes said problem worse.

My suspicion of why there's lack of breakthroughs in physics comes from the fact that mathematicians and theoretical physicists can't code.

Instead of creating a robust, well-defined model, writing a simulation and testing if it agrees with reality, they create those hand-wavy barely formal fit-all theories to waste everyone's time and cover for their incompetence.
