sup /sci/, will rubbing another magnet on my magnetic compass damage it? or will it make it more responsive? Do magnets eventually expire and lose their magnet powers or do they stay as magnets for infinity.

Please enlighten me, oh glorious /sci/borgs

c'mon guys... i need to know this... google aint helping shit

a) more responsive
b) "magnets" that you have on mind DO spontaneously demagnetise over time.

Yes, magnets demagnetize, and no, rubbing a magnet on another won't really accelerate the process. Banging a magnet hard will remagnetize it in the direction of the prevailing magnetic field (and with possibly somewhat similar strength).
