I don't see what this has to do with /sci/, but people have been predicting the fall of China for a couple of decades now, because they are so afraid of Chinas rise (and rightly so) that they prefer cooking up fantasy scenarios instead of facing the truth.

And the truth is: China has risen: it will keep rising. They are building weapons at an enormous pace. They are militaristic and jingoistic. They don't care about international institutions. They have no concept of human dignity and they do not share any of our values.

But this Gordon Chang type copium that their fall is just around the corner is NOT helpful.
