Solve the equation for the given variable. Round your answer to the nearest tenth. 13 -4(y + 7) = 5.3 + 3(0.3 y + 1)

They give the answer to be -4.8, but I keep on getting -32.7/-4.9

you must have put a minus sign on 4.9y, cause i got -4.8 as my answer

How come it wouldn't have a minus sign? I'm confuzed. Thanks in advanced for the help good sir.
I get down to:
13-4y+28=5.3+.9+3
-4y+41=8.3+.9y
-4.9y=-32.7

Solve the following for x in terms of y: y=x/(4 - x) Assume x (does not equal) 4.

Answer: 4y/1+y
When I get: x=4y - xy

can't have x on both sides of the equation when you're solving FOR X noob

It took me 5 s to copy and paste your equation into Wolframalpha. Why don't you high school kids know how to use it to solve simple algebra problems?

NASA launches a rocket at t = 0 seconds. Its height, in meters above sea-level, as a function of time is given by h(t) = -4.9t^2 + 262 t + 332.

How high above sea-level does the rocket get at its peak?

That's a not a rocket that was launched but a projectile shot a velocity 262m/s. High school intro to physics problem.

Real rockets are wee bit more complicated.

it is an orbital spacecraft, in has a rocket/s on the back so i guess you could call it a rocket.
the definition of a rocket is: A rocket or rocket vehicle is a missile, spacecraft, aircraft or other vehicle which obtains thrust from a rocket engine
