and with automated lasers several questions arise anyway. there's still a delay in physically aiming it. unless several are mounted on the alien body, which cover certain areas, and thus have small reaction times between detection and firing. if only handheld laser with aim assist or something like that vampires have a good chance of eventually biting one. takes a bit to turn around and aim it.
and once turned, pretty hard to kill.
