Imagine a ring suspended in space, put a battery in the circuit, it is a short circuit but electricity still passes for some time. Would the ring start spinning? Because of electrons slamming into protons at drift speed. I asked my physics prof, at first he said yes, but after 2 minutes he said no, and said that if you put a capacitor in then it would spin, i didn't understamd that at all
