Make some quirky memes and talk about FBI crime stats, and suddenly everyone's taking turns to ride him. This type of behavior is partly responsible for the decline of Western science. Showmanship and flashy projects suck up all the resources while leaving boring, modest projects that progress science and technology dry. Midwits like him suck up all the oxygen and peddle their dumb ideas like his le Ai bad take that riled up the normies to regulate the shit out of the field.

That means it will have a slightly higher cost to launch my 100kg ass into LEO as the fuel cost for a round trip a380 trip from LAX to Dubai.

Tesla stock soared because it was artificially inflated for ~8 years as it stayed still without moving an inch. Then soon as their Model 3 became a success, deliveries soared, their stock rose. Then Model Y came, then the world knew Tesla was the biggest player in automotive history since Henry Ford made Ford company.

This year, they're delivering ~2M electric vehicles. With revenue ~$100B. They have 4 factories in the world pumping cars left and right. 1 new factory under construction in mexico, another yet to be announced later this year. They want to produce ~20 million cars by 2030. Maybe they wont hit it, but if they even get 50% of that, then they're on track to become the biggest automaker in the world. Plus, they've got the best selling car in the world today. They have huge ambitions for lot of things, their battery/solar business is set to add another 30-50B to their business in few years, their AI, robot, etc are also few more things to come

SpaceX is the largest, most successful, launching the most rockets, most payloads, most satellites, having the most customers rocket company. Plus they've got 3000+ satellites in the sky with ~1.5M customers and growing rapidly, likely to double by next year and so on.

He became the CEO after the first CEO failed to deliver and had nearly bankrupted the company. Model 3 would not be released for another 10 years. When Musk took CEO role, there was no product. The roadster they were working on cost more to make than to sell because the original CEO had mismanaged the development and production cost. When 2008 Musk had no money left because he had spent it all on Tesla/SpaceX. So when the reckoning came, Musk had lost confidence in the previous CEO, he took over the role of CEO, restructured the company, fired a fuck ton of people to save the company.

>Yes, everything you just said retard
Tesla was created when couple of people came together to create the company, of which Musk was the principle financial investor. He bought the factory his cars would be built in. He bought the trademark from some rando off california. He created the legal framework for the company by copy/pasting SpaceX legal paperworks he had created for. He created the Tesla logo by using his SpaceX employees who designed the SpaceX logos.

From 2004-2008, Musk mostly managed SpaceX. While only doing few high level things at Tesla. When 2008 recession happened, and Tesla's CEO failed to deliver the product on time, with sound finances, Musk fired him. The car cost more to make than to sell. The Roadster was a financial failure. Musk took hold of Tesla as the recession hit and Musk's pocket was empty. He's not the majority share holder because of accident. He's the majority share holder because he created Tesla. He funded 99% of Tesla initial fundings himself when the company was created. Not because he robbed the company from someone or bought it from someone, he CREATED it.

The world is moving towards electrification. The only companies that can provide electric cars will survive. Companies that cant deliver will bleed dry. Other companie's innovation will only lead to AT BEST stop the bleed, but they will have to move the mountains to do so, there's no sign any company other than Tesla and some Chinese companies are doing that. At best, most legacy companies are doing half hearted measures, which is realistic given it takes enormous efforts/scale to make move mountains

You can hate these facts, but you can't deny it.

>Tesla doesn't have a monopoly on EV
Teslas are 80-90% of EVs in the US roads today. Thats effective monopoly. On top of that, in US ~70% of EVs are Tesla.

If Ford/Chevy/Toyota are smarter, how come they're not selling more cars? How come their entire yearly output COMBINED is less than Tesla's monthly output? How come they make -100% profit on each EV they sell, while Tesla makes ~20%? How come you're here seething about Tesla's success instead of Toyota/Ford/Chevy who don't produce anything?

It's 58% but you've been been exaggerating this whole thread and making shit up so why would you stop now.

>If Ford/Chevy/Toyota are smarter, how come they're not selling more cars?
I said they're smarter than you, but you can't read. So how many cars have you sold? On top of that they're leading car sales world wide by a huge margin.
>How come their entire yearly output COMBINED is less than Tesla's monthly output?
If we're talking EVs specifically this is false because you're using a ridiculous metric. Tesla does make 58% of EV sales with ford and chevrolet making up a combined 11% of sales. No reason to exaggerate here but you do it anyways.
>How come they make -100% profit on each EV they sell
They're late to the game and they can afford to lose profit on their cars because they make tremendous amounts of profit on their other vehicles.

Seriously the cognitive dissonance with this man is just astounding. You can not like him and also admit he's a genuinely hypercompetent executive. SpaceX is literally the worlds premier launch provider. Over half the satellites in orbit currently are SpaceX satellites. Over %80 of the upmass produced by any launch provider is through SpaceX. Often in response to that I'll hear that Musk was simply good at hiring the right people who secretly do all the work and make all the decisions, and if that was the case I'd simply ask why any of the dozen other legacy and start up providers we're somehow utterly unable to hire any of these people? Does Musk have an absolute tyranny over this unnamed secret pool of genius talents? Does he keep them stocked in a warehouse somewhere? Eventually you have to reconcile yourself to the fact that he does indeed know how to run a company. I have no doubt either that he'll make Twitter profitable to the consternation of a great many shitlibs.
