You can have perfect health, blessed genetics, and all the money in the world but all it takes is one severe injury and your life is over. Just imagine your king status instantly being taken away because you took the wrong step and ended up being paralyzed from neck down for the rest of your life.

I fucking love how weak other ppl are, They can have perfect health, blessed genetics, and all the money in the world but all it takes is one severe injury and their life is over. Just imagine their king status instantly being taken away because they took the wrong step and ended up being paralyzed from neck down for the rest of their life. LOL

actually compared to many other species, humans are quite resilient and have a relatively good rate of recovering from injuries, compared to other species like say horses or cats or dogs. and even non-domesticated species like deer or rodents or raccoons.

all in all the fragility of higher organisms is something you have to embrace. we have not evolved to survive catastrophe but instead have evolved great abilities to _avoid_ catastrophe.

if you think about it, then that is clearly the best evolutionary strategy, since it breeds fitness rather than survivability. survivability is the evolutionary strategy that crocodiles and turtles took. they are doing fine but we humans want to be something more than that

>in the long run there are no insuperable evils
to the contrary, there is no end of new evils people will be willing to create. before le evil of death is overcome, biowarfare, microplastics or agromonopoly pesticides, etc. will have already reduced the life expectancy to a much more natural 37.
