Sup /sci/,

I came here to ask you if i go outside tonight, would i get radiation poisoning from the solar flare? If so, how do i hide tonight?

Remember that the atmosphere will protect you from direct radiation. But while it does this, some of the air molecules themselves will become radioactive.

Since it's the air itself that turns radioactive, you would be best off breathing from a scuba tank while outside. Barring that, I'd suggest anyone plannign to go outside in the next four days to wear something impermeable to air over your heads and attached with ductape at your neck.

Even a plastic bag will do in an emergency, since it is almost totally impermeable to air molecules.
