In 2019, scientists from MIT and Harvard explored whether or not a genetic basis for sexual orientation actually existed. The study, extensive in nature, saw the scientists perform a genome-wide association study on close to 500,000 participants from the U.S., the UK, and Sweden. The hypothesis was disproved.

The problem is that people imagine a "gene that makes you gay" instead of the epigenenic "gene that makes you likely to be gay" which is basically just any manlet gene, but to apply epigenetics to gays would mean admitting that people can be indoctrinated to be gay which is politically incorrect.
