for the uninitiated, here's the QRD: professor of geography (yes, geography -- not geology) fired due to giving girls extra credit for dressing as clowns. he claimed instead he was fired for giving too many As.

two main questions come to mind. firstly, how does someone like this become a professor? and more importantly, what does a professor of geography even research? what can he possibly teach? clown world.
