So the power of autism is real. Every other board has done something. So lets do something. Lets fix the fucking solar cell. Im not a green energy fag but this is one of those problems that should be a easy fix. Currently its low yeild. Light is infinite.

My basic idea is that solar cells currently actually transport the election. DC power. There has to be a way to refine the solar cell so it doesn't transport the electron, instead just make it vibrate and produce push/pull of alternating current. If this was possible it would also remove 50% of the solar problem (battery and management / converters /etc ).
>There is clear yield increase if your not actually moving the election.
>A/C is more directly usable and could provide a smaller battery bank.
>Should be more reliable / less moving atoms

I understand its somewhat material based (meh special silicon), but I could possibly produce A/C with solar panels and a wind-wheel rotating -- to block 1 solar panal and not the other. If I spin this light blocking wheel 60 times per second... I should be able to get a push pull a/c between the two panels. Why am I even typing this I should just make a meme video of this and not even help the gay world.

Funny I was thinking of a similar oscillating light/dark to maybe harvest energy from photon momentum using nano mems oscillators.
You would just need to get the light/dark frequency to match the frequency of the oscillators.

If you made the turbine blades transparent, they could act as lenses so that you could utilize the light instead of just blocking it.

spinning, double sided solar panels with opposing polarity would also produce a/c naturally

These require additional energy expenditure.
OP is trying to capture additional energy with wind and get ac solar for free.

I'm pretty sure that's how solar panels work in the present anyway

so instead of obtaining 100% of the yield after losses, and then converting to ac, you are going to impose a 50% average loss on the yield before losses to create a pseudo ac? sounds brilliant, I'm sure a 50% reduction in power output is worth it to have big mechanical maintenance and failure instead of an inverter

Why not just build more solar panels to compensate for lost? Instead of making a wacky device that will cost more then just building more solar panels.

Current solar panals are inherently wasteful (Low % of photon energy actually used/captured)... and still not carbon-footprint / net positive -- in actual production and use.
>>15219749
Well I just think basic idea of creating a a/c producing solar cell is going to be such a net % gain beyond our bullshit of incremental increase.

>>15219767
This is good idea, and actually a better idea. The blade will be mirror and the rotations will divert the light to each cell. Some loss in the reflection but we will use the best reflective material.

Now on to the powering of to the rotation. This is hard to figure out because this is whats producing the frequency to our A/C. We will also need electronics to smooth out our signal etc but this is rudimentary today. The question is lowest power way to keep rotation. ATM I am thinking air compressor system. electronics can add puffs to the wheel to keep it in rythem while utilizing wind power. Though wind power wont add much if we go a full 60hz.
>>15219720
Maybe not exact, I went with something thats already exist. I know nikola tesla had that free energy.

This probably makes the most sense.
Half of the panels will be un-used at any given time so you'd be better off just using all of them then eating the losses of an inverter which are less than 30% for shit inverters and less than 10% for good ones.

It might be worth it if you use solar collectors and periodically run the panels hotter than what is possible at continuous light and just get all of the waveform shaping done mechanically by rotating polarizers or some shit.
As long as the average temperature of the panel is the same as ordinary use, things should be fine-ish.
The rig OP is thinking of will produce triangle waves which will still need lossy post processing which defeats the purpose of the rig.

The main factor will be how the cost of the rig compares to an inverter and if you plan on increasing the number of panels.
More panels means you need more rigs or a bigger rig which increases cost but you can still get by with just one inverter as you increase number of panels.

I'm not an expert (surprisingly).
>My basic idea is that solar cells currently actually transport the election. DC power. There has to be a way to refine the solar cell so it doesn't transport the electron, instead just make it vibrate and produce push/pull of alternating current.
They have devices that can do that, they're called rectifiers. You lose half the current though.
>I could possibly produce A/C with solar panels and a wind-wheel rotating -- to block 1 solar panal and not the other. If I spin this light blocking wheel 60 times per second... I should be able to get a push pull a/c between the two panels.
This would consume more energy that it generates. You cannot break the laws of thermodynamics with a spinning solar panel...

The best way to improve the solar panel would be to reduce resistance, but the costs of the panel would increase dramatically with the exotic materials needed and the gain would be negligible... Unless you did something really stupid, like have a cable with a 2ft diameter (lol) running from each cell in parallel, with no shielding, feeding a huge capacitor with low resistance terminals. That way it would create a fucking huge magnetic field... Something fun would happen.... You should try it.
