Any ergonomics fags in the house?

Is there a 'Ergonomics for Dummies" book? I'm trying to find something to reference for a mid-bachelor project that doesn't require an actual timespan to study.

Standing is far, far worse for you than sitting. The human body is not designed to stand still, it is designed to walk and run. Have fun with blood pooling in your feet. I can’t even stand for five minutes without my legs itching uncontrollably.

if you don't cite this thread as a reference in your research report then you are lying, 4chan is now one of your sources of information.

I can run for two hours and not get itchy legs, standing is the problem. I don’t have bad circulation, my body is simply superior and able to better sense when something is wrong.

If you don't need more than that you're not doing real computer science. You might as well own an abacus at that point.

This. The most ergonomic position is one of those zero gravity workstations, accompanied by occasional exercise and stretching breaks throughout the day.

Has anyone tried a standing workstation with a little treadmill that goes 1 mph? Seems like it would be better than standing stock still.

use your buttocks to generate rotational energy through your hips and rock weight between feet. you shouldn't ever be standing completely still for more than a minute or so
