Basically everything we do is influenced by politics. A car company starting to design and build electric cars is influenced by politics. Doesnt make their engineering bad nor does it make it good. Nor does science influenced by politics mean its good or bad science. For example lets say politician that was saying we should do X thing because of Y. So then people did research into X and see if it make sense because of Y. Maybe extra political things can lead to more bad things because of bias but not always and not everyone will be influenced by their bias.
