Here's a scenario for /sci/. In 1950, astronomers discover earth will be destroyed in the year 2100. How do you keep our miserable species alive?

Common overlooked factors you idiots will take for granted
>Our computers will stop working
>Our solar panels will stop working
>Perfect recycling ecological system are impractical

What's the plan /sci/?

easiest way is to accelerate the process in a partially controlled manner by weakening our civilization over time until it can collapse with more of a whimper than a bang. humans at this point will be better suited to surviving without civilization, since it's been crumbling for the past century+. lots of people will die, but the odds of extinction are very low, history tells us that at least in terms of survival of the species we're very good at outlasting our civilizations.

We simply wait for God to save us because he is our saviour. He will definitely show up. Just ignore the other 1000 times people said he would show up and he didn't. I know he will show up this time

You didn't specify how it will be destroyed. That's kind of important.
