the soft sciences aren't solely to blame, physics has been publishing "muh studies" and "muh theories" about imaginary, fictional "dark matter" for the past 50 years. all that effort and they still never managed to learn anything worthwhile. imagine the trillions wasted on their worthless salaries and expenses of the course of half a century and nothing in return other than skizo rants about phantoms.

Physics had a fake publication once regarding something easy to verify. A guy claimed to invent a new type of transistor, he made it up, people believed him.
He was caught after a few years. This means the scientific method works but it isnt immediate, it takes time to do the deboonking.
As for the cosmology, sure, that isnt science at all. Its purely speculative but on the other hand it makes no difference in anyones lives while the social studies actively interfere with the functioning of the world.
