can somebody explain to me, or tell me where to go about finding out how to do these things:

apparently,

{[sqrt(3)]^3}/3 = sqrt3

seems like something I should know. Is there a rule to dealing with faggots like these?

<div class="math"> \frac{\sqrt{3}^3}{3}=\frac{3^{3/2}}{3}=\frac{(3^3)^{1/2}}{3}=\frac{\sqrt{27}}{3}=\frac{3\sqrt{3}}{3}
=\sqrt{3} </div>

( 3^(1/2) ^ 3) / 3
multiply exponents

3^3/2 / 3 ^ 1 = 3 ^ 1/2

or 3^3/2 * 3^-1 = 3 ^ 1/2
