True agnosticism regarding religion is a belief. Not a troll, just hear me out.

When an idea (like a religious belief) is highly complex but completly unevidenced even from the base level we recognise that it is very unlikely.

We do not act as if we are utterly unsure of any other very unlikely possible situations. You (probably) dont carry a weapon with you at all time incase of zombies.

So the natual belief state is agnostic atheist (not believing in something before it can be seen to exist or appears likely)

tl;dr True agnosticism is saying "There either is or isnt a god so its 50/50"

How is it 50/50? The probability of a god is much lower than 50 (not necessarily 0 though).

Sorry OP but i dont think this will be constructive to the Athest vs Agnostic debate, its too long an arguement to fit in a motivator so will never get used in another discussion

The proper response is "I don't know if there is a god, and I don't know the probability of there being a god, either.
50/50 is way too arbitrary. You don't know it's 50/50.

I don't understand why these days the issue of atheist vs agnostic came up. (Well, I do. Americans are retarded. But that's beside the point.)

You either believe in God or you do not. Maybe there's some sort of certainty scale, but at the end of the day you either will or will not expect to see the Pearly Gates when you die.
