any recommendations for chemistry books? For background I've never taken even highschool chemistry but I've gone thru calc 3, linear alg, and dif eq (quite some years ago) so I'm a smarty pants and can take a little rigor.

I've jumped into the deep end of gardening and I've realised I need to know some chemistry if I really want to understand botany, nutrient interactions, etc. instead of just following recipes and hoping for the best

I was a chemist in a previous life. Organic Chemistry by Clayden was my favorite as far as sophomore level goes.

I am currently reading Chemistry & Chemical Reactivity by John Kotz. It is a really good starting point, as it is targeted to a first-semester undergraduate class, so it requires no previous knowledge (even though everybody knows at least some chemistry). It's been really fun so far. The book has lots of practical examples and covers the subject in depth. Most people use Atkins' book, but I haven't read it so I can't tell which one is better.

125 isn't even that bad for that website. I have to put in a little effort to get over 145

just be yourself and accept the machine's unbiased, natural output. you can stand on your toes all you want, its not going to make you taller.
the fun thing about that website is using it get reactions from people who have no confidence in their own intellectual capability, the beating the algorithm aspect of it isn't any more engaging than any other "ai" boss battle. if you want to cheat to get an artificially inflated assessment of your intelligence, at least put in the effort somewhere that it will benefit you financially, such as in school or on the gres.

lol, there are two or three trolls here who don't care what your beliefs are. if you'd made an anti-christian joke, you would've received a fedorajak iq report. their sole enjoyment seems to be riling up people who are cocky about their intelligence.

try "a short history of chemistry: an introduction to the ideas and concepts of chemistry" by isaac asimov.

asimov was a legit chemist as well as a famous writer.

he was just another jew who got famous through collusive jewish nepotism. his version of the robot laws is based on talmudic ideas that jews have about the goyims, he changed the word "jew" to "human" and he swapped "goy" for "robot". no doubt all the jewish publishers and literary critics loved seeing that

>a wall of projection that reads like a self-directed pep talk
It says it assumes the sample text put thought into every sentence. A "little effort" is not even that, it's just typing at 45 wpm instead of 80 to make sure it's not spergy. No thought required to get 145+
