Quantum mechanics is a pure mathematical framework. Its understanding is associated with the full understanding of the mathematical model that lies underneath it. It is in no way designed for the pleb to understand or to grasp any of its concepts. The way that abstract mathematics are not intended for the understanding of average midwit that makes up nearly 99% of 4chan. Seeing 30 years old schizo neats and egocentric white highschooler males trying to minimize the required effort to understand concepts like superposition and reducing them to what their primitive Paleolithic cephalic organoid can grasp is a mere amusing play that I allow myself to spectate whenever I get to the lowest point of life again.

Because it's trained on a load of bad explanations.

For one the explanation given there is made confusing by the fact that a "state" v in QM is a generic configuration. The quantum system is by definition in one state v, but that state might not be one associated with a unique/single measurement value for some observable (call those states e_i's), in which case we say the state is in the superposition of such (v can be written as a combination of e_i's).
Said again, the space of states in QM does not merely contain such states being associated with a particular observation. If the system is in such a more general state, our prediction of the measurement is (interpreted to be) probabilistic (with given p<1 for each outcome).

I don't really know which sections you refer to.
Some states (essentially spanning a base) are associated with particular measurement outcomes. The state of the system can be one of those. But the state can also be a mix (superposition) of (multiple of) those, in which case you fundamentally have low/probabilistic predictability.
I don't know which "all" you mean, but not all base vectors have to contribute.

I've also seen that notation used, at least when proving theorems in mathematical physics that are eventually considered for the QM case. E.g. you don't see psi's here, despite the main motivation for all of this being QM
