I have a master in chem as well. I work in an analytical lab. This is not true, it's even worse. All the stuff like preparing samples, putting them into the tray, starting the GC, is made by lab workers. All I do is getting the results, writing the report and having contact with the client. This is maybe different when doing research but that's how it is in the industry. All that to get screamed at at the phone because our backlog is huge and we cannot finish the analysis in like one day.
