We are not real.

A dude in that post said this "AI cannot reason. All it's doing is extending text. If the answer isn't something often repeated on the internet, it will output garbage answers like in the OP because this 'AI' is not thinking. It's just parroting what it guesses the next word should be. That's literally all it does."

So we are.

We are able to solve math problems because we know the formula from somewhere in the past, same goes for the AI. If you give her the formula to solve that train question, it will digest the correct answer.

The reason why she couldn't solve the answer is because that question is very rare based on the information from the past (internet).

Also, if we are living in a simulated reality, how do we know that the creators of the simulation are not themselves living in a simulated reality?
