According to this paper, Hilbert's logicism (and by extension, Russel, and Whitehead) had a lasting impact on all future mathematics.
The author claims that the damage Bourbaki especially did was to champion Hilbert's school as a foundational framework while ignoring all subsequent developments in foundational research. Most working mathematicians today, especially French ones, think either that logic is 'complete' or at least that logical research today is irrelevant.

What does this mean for the future of math? Should such foundational questions be of concern to the working mathematician?

Wtf, why is he supporting globohomo??? I thought everyone was based and racist before 2008

Was this written by a monkey who lives in an island off the coast of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean? It sure reads like it was.

Actually, the quote in the image would be considered racist by today's standards. Mathematics is considered "white culture" and a tool of "colonization." By not acknowledging the oppression of people of color, Hilbert is sustaining systemic racism against minorities

Liar, /pol/ told me that only white people can do math and science

Well, that's racist and wrong.

But it's also anti-racist and correct, because "math and science" have historically been tools of oppression, used to sustain systems of white supremacy. All the "mathematicians" and "scientists" you read about are white males, and concepts such as "rigor," "validity," and "correctness" are inherently white values. We need to decolonize the curriculum to be more equitable to people of color by eliminating math and science in favor of emotional learning and lived experience.

I'm not reading all that. That image convinced me that all mathematicians are globohomo.

Makes sense. Reading and comprehension are also values of white culture

That would be true. The correct statement however is: Niggers can't do mathematics

Ah yes. Quite a bit of damage. Foundational concerns are incredibly important to mathematicians even if the average modern mathematician wants to ignore it.

The solution to this "problem" is to write a big nice book compiling all the significant updates to foundational research since Russell and Whitehead. You can't expect someone outside of foundational research to do it for you.

Oh no Hilbert is now anti racist. What will the racists of sci now do
