Any tips and tricks on how to create a field of science?

>Studying mathematics at university but both the applied and theoretical stuff seems kinda autistic although its way more tolerable to me than practical physics and other fields

I was wondering, considering that I proceed with my degree to have a thorough "mathematical understanding" I could create/pioneer something new or at least greatly improve on modern novel theories.

e.g: Nobert Wiener and Cybernetics.
Or as the cockiest example: Newton and Classical Mechanics

This is kind of a self experiment to step outside of the disillusionment I find in modern day specialization, so be critical but I'd appreciate any wild ideas if yall have any

Not entirely possible but what you can do is make old subfields obsolete and be the pioneer of the primary one.

Or as the cockiest example: Newton and Classical Mechanics

Kind of like how Physicists dont study Newton anymore. Its there...the main points are spoken about, like Pythagoras, but people dont "main" that skill tree anymore.

You don't decide to create something new you delusional narcissist. You set out to answer a question, or series of questions, and the rest is up to God.
If you have no interest besides becoming some kind of "great mind of history", then you'll probably never have the care required to stumble onto something meaningful.

Just do something new and not well established. You can only take so much novelty in each area until it is painfully obvious and true pioneers just enjoys the solitude and poverty and still think he is not alone and has everything he needed.
For you the math guy you can make a better model that fits better and explains more.
The branching is gonna happen if no events causing massive memory hole:
A) naturally branches off long after your and other's effort reached critical level. You will be long dead, and editorial choices will be made by people after you.
B) You insist it is something new or needs to be split until it sticks. This requires enduring efforts, prestige and backing and people would resist ridiculousness from literally who.
C) Combine a few into a new one.

What's your point? Newton was an obsessive autismal with specialist interests that he actively pursued.
OP is a self-absorbed nothing asking 4channel for the 4 easy steps to success.

unrelated but if you pursue a maths degree, you will be able to basically enter any scientific field of your choosing by simply walking in and wagging your maths dick around. seriously, most other fields are mathematically illiterate and if you have a solid mathematical underpinning you can just walk in and begin collaborating with domain experts
