Why string theory is unfalsifiable:

* In string theory, strings are the size of the Planck length (10-35 m).

* The planck length is the smallest possible length in the universe.

* We would need radiation with a wave length the length of the planck length

* the shorter the wave length, the higher the energy

* Energy is the same thing as matter

* An wave with even a bit less than this much energy would collapse into a black hole.

so we can't discover strings without destroying ourselves and possibly our planet. This makes it unfalsifiable

I forgot to say in "* We would need radiation with a wave length the length of the planck length" that it would be required for detecting strings. Seeing as this is smallest possible size, it would require an infinite amount of energy.

This is not entirely necessary. String theory can be verified by indirect means. Such as SUSY theory, confirmation of multiple dimensions etc
At its core string theory says that the entire world is a vibration and current confirmed theories already make that same claim e.g quantum mechanics
