Good Morning /Sci/entists.

I was thinking about the Maid Mind Computer Program. I think maybe a mind isn't like a single Computer Program.

What if different parts of a mind do different things. What if a mind is like a lot of Computer Programs communicating over some kind of Message Passing System?

The Computer Programs could be specialized and written in domain-specific languages designed to solve whatever duties that part of the mind has. The parts could communicate so long as they all understand the messages on the message passing system. Maybe not all parts of a mind care about messages?

Is there any evidence a mind has separate parts?

Maybe instead of just being Chinese Rooms we're like a whole Foreign Languages Department? Maid Rooms containing specialized abilities talking over some kind of Maid Mind Computer Brain Machine Maid Internet?

Thank you /sci/entists for reading my post.

It's painful trying to read or think in an worthy reply when the thread itself was butchered by spamming the maid-thing.

I keep getting jannied on both /g/ and /a/. You can't talk about the Maid Phone on /a/ because it has a phone and you can't talk about it on /g/ because it has a maid.

I don't know where to talk about the LISP horse.

You should take that to heart instead of just coming here to shitpost.

I don't really care what board I am posting on. I just want to talk about computers and numbers and maids without have my computer deleted because it had a maid and without my maid getting deleted because she has numbers and without my numbers getting deleted because they have a computer.

I am going to make a Maid Phone thread on the dra/g/on maid board later. My chat server has a thread leaking problem where clients connection cause threads to be created. Clients disconnecting doesn't end threads so the server just makes threads until it explodes.

I might use a trick from software engineering called unit testing to resolve this, but the problem is unit testing is a very boring activity.

This is a state caused by continual jannying. My posts mostly belong on /g/ if we want to go by board topic, but /g/ is also the board which is fastest to janny me. If I posted Satania and complained about iToddlers, I'd have no problem. That style of posting doesn't interest me though.

This is the view of a different client seeing what that one wrote.

I am having timing problems with printing and I don't know if Java can unprint. I really don't want to start making JFrames and other GUI nonsense, so I have to figure out printing.

Computers went wrong when they started giving them GUIs and I want to avoid that as much as possible on the Maid Phone.

I fixed this problem. It turns out java has a backspace special character. A dra/g/on told me and that made fixing the client easy. Now I have to refactor the code some and make sure channels work. Then I will publish this skeleton code with no privacy/security features so I can argue with people about architectures.

I don't think you can compare it to computer programs. Computers are built in a very specific way to do very specific operations and programmed to perform even more specific actions.
The brain is built from chaos, just nerves floating around in a mush and connecting to all their neighbours. At its basic form it does fuckall, but can be trained to do pretty much anything.
You can compare it to a neural network model, but the brain trains itself wheras ai uses a separate system

Tldr the brain programs itself and thats cool

I doubt you could recreate the mind with programmed components--the brain is too dynamic--but it's an interesting proposition nonetheless.
But java will probably get in your way.
