Ok why the fuck do we imagine alien space vehicles to all look like this?

>> No.15001397

We don't.

Big phallus shape is already taken by us humans.

>> No.15001403

they don't use aerodynamic force they can look like anything

>> No.15001408

We don't, mainly midwit Americans believe this.

That was the original prototype shape of the aircraft made by Nazi Germany during WW2 which America took and started spreading misinformation so that the USSR would think the aircraft was alien and not US owned.

Aliens would have much more sophisticated aircraft that we probably would not even be able to see

>> No.15001680

Because of UFO sightings

Oh, so like magnets.

Oh so is that why all of these "UFO'S" conveniently have air traffic control lights?

>>15001680
>unidentified sighted
Whoa bro.

Because some race mixers in the 1950s were kidnapped by literal German Nazis flying a craft that looked like that.

>> No.15001754

>>15001395
you would want to build them to be space efficient because they dont need to be aerodynamic so a circular design like this is as a good as any I suppose.

>> No.15001757

>>15001754
It's because the original Glocke was bell-shaped, hence its name. The design has beneficial electromagnetic properties.

Because out of all the UFO designs that exist, this shape and design is the first and possibly only one we Earthlings have been able to understand and replicate.

in the 1950s, 1960s the US military used to secretly test stealth bombers that roughly looked like this

>> No.15001780

Because that's what hubcaps look like and they were the most ubiquitous metal object that could be thrown up into the sky and stay there long enough to take a photograph back when UFOs first started being reported by the media.

sure, good as explanation as any I suppose

btw glocke means bell and idie glocke didnt look like this craft, it looked like a ..... bell

>> No.15001810

>>15001786
>>15001792
I'm well aware, but a "saucer" ufo is just a flattened bell. It's an advance on the design of the towering bell.

>> No.15001881

>>15001810
no one ever saw what die glocke looked like before this shape became popularized by pop sci and all the allies ever saw of the "foo fighters" were that they were glowing orbs so it is doubtful your hypothesis is correct. Perhaps some of the glowies got the plans during the war and became screenwriters/sci fi writers or special effects people in hollywood, that is certainly possible but still a stretch to just assume

>> No.15001891

>>15001881
to add more to this. I would say it is more likely America copied the plans and made their own craft and it was people that had access to these projects that would have leaked these designs in that manner rather than the orig german ones

The shape was popularized because 2 race mixers were abducted by literal Nazis in a ship with a flattened bell shape.

>> No.15002721

>>15001395
it's not something we "imagine", it's what many of them do indeed look like
the reason they are shaped like that has to do with the electrogravitic technology used by the lower shield
form follows function

>> No.15002739

>>15001395
It's relatively old ufo lore. Though it's more of a product of a newspaper saying someone claim he saw a flying saucer when it's more like he claimed to see a craft hop across water like a saucer.

>> No.15002740

>>15002173
The story it comes from predates that story.
