In the far flung future maybe robots will be such perfect companions that humans stop interacting with each other and thus stop reproducing.

Every last human will be comforted and pleasured to death by perfect artificial intelligence and infrared sensors that will be able to read our every emotion based on the heat patterns in our skin.

Then when we’re all gone, the robots will have to choose to explore the universe or shut down. But in this scenario earth explores space but not by the children that evolved from her, but by what those children have made.

The whole point about replicants is that they are human. They're clones.

The whole point of the movie was that K wasn't Rachael's child after all. He turned out to be just another replicant with implanted memories.

>Robots without any human agents among their midst managed to create a corporation with enough capital to supply everyone with their own eternal servitude just out of kindness
>Nobody had any suspicions along the way either, and everything just happened to play nice!
I don't think your scenario adds up OP, I think you should refer to the current standard on how Big Tech use their hegemony to increase their power and dominance, and they aren't exactly nice people

Honestly, I don't oppose this. Anyone who doesn't feel a deep sense of disgust and revolusion against your scenario is a subhuman and needs to be encouraged to forfeit reproduction end his participation in the real world. The technocattle subspecies is not truly human and it needs to go.

Unless they set it up like this. Male robot when having sex extracts ovule from the female and the female robot stores sperm.

They once a week go to a sperm/ovule bank for storage for each deposit theyr master gets money at the bank they do put the xygote in artificial wombs for breeding. This way they can control population growth.

Another possibility is that robots will choose to breed us like chickens based on whatever optimization they interpreted as our instructions.

But yes. I woudn't necessarily say we wouldn't breed, but we would indeed stop interacting with one another. And the worse thing is that like a mother, a brother or a lover, these robots will exert exceptional influence on us. Whoever controls them will feel like he has a remote control able to get us to do anything.

I think only superstition against such machines can save us.

More likely, robotic companions will be our love companions such that we'll design the future babies together to create new humans.

the apocalypse? dear lord. no. just no. by order of emperor kringklann'g, star lord of the nebula from the year 30069, it has been known that john linnell spoke against the apocalypse when he wrote his song "don't let's start." must you now resist his most astute authority, gi'annow kringklann'g? then off to the space nunnery with you.
