did anyone watch that new TED talk about all the earth sized planets were found by Kepler?

there has been up until a few months ago, no proof of earth sized planets. only gas giants.

how is it not science we need exoplanets to get a better understanding of planet formation with out the search for exoplaents we wouldn't know about all the planet which rotate in the opposite direction to their star which throws a spanner in the works of current formation models

explain how this is not SCIENCE!
