Doctors and lawyers get clout but I don't even though I make as much money as them and don't have to work as much as them and am doing high level design which I'm passionate about. Unlike lawyers and doctors who memorize shit and only do it for the social prestige. Why is this??

Lawyers only make sense in a country ruled by laws, and doctors only make sense in a world where corporations produce drugs. Everybody is embedded in a system. Lawyers don't get to make the laws all by themselves and doctors can't manufacture the drugs they prescribe. If you're stranded on a desert island, knowledge of law will be mostly useless and knowledge of medicine will be only moderately useful. Most people can't do much of anything on their own except for basic survival skills.
